• Children should wear their PE kit on Tuesdays.
• Reading books should be brought into school every day.
• Reading records should be brought in on Fridays to be checked. Reading Dojos will be awarded for children who have read regularly at home.

Owls Class welcomes our Year 3 and 4 pupils as they begin their Key Stage 2 journey. We aim to nurture independence, curiosity and a love of learning through a wide range of engaging and enriching experiences. Our classroom is a supportive environment where children are encouraged to challenge themselves, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.

Pantomime, January 2026

On Wednesday 7th January, our children attended the panto: Robin Hood. They demonstrated exemplary behaviour throughout the event and we were proud of them all! The children engaged with the theatrical experience too - singing, clapping and laughing throughout the show. Tweedy, like always, was a highlight for us all! 🎭

Art: Abstract Shape & Space unit, January 2026

Our little sculptors dove into the world of shapes, turning 2D into 3D sculptures with incredible imagination. The 'Abstract Shape & Space' Art unit brought out some serious creativity. Who knew geometry could be so much fun? OWLS proved that math and art are the perfect playground for brilliant minds! 🌟Peek into our classroom and you'll see sculptures that would make modern artists proud. Shapes, angles and pure imagination coming together in the most unexpected ways!

World Book Day, March 2026

We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day 2026! Everyone came dressed as their favourite book characters and the creativity on display was brilliant. We enjoyed a lively Fairytale Mash Up assembly performed by school staff, which had us all laughing and guessing which story would appear next. We also paraded our costumes on the playground and spent time writing our own alternative endings to the Fairytale Mash Up. It was a wonderful day full of imagination, storytelling and fun!

Forest School, Spring Term 2026

This term’s Forest School has been truly magical. We’ve soaked up the sunshine while taking part in a wonderful range of outdoor adventures. The children have enjoyed:

• Whittling and learning how to use tools safely
• Tree climbing and exploring their physical confidence
• Den building and working together to create woodland hideaways
• Using their critical thinking skills to design and test a working pulley system
• Popping corn and toasting marshmallows over an open fire
• …and so much more!

It’s been a term full of creativity, teamwork, exploration and joy in the natural world.

Design & Technology Castle Construction, Spring 2026

This term, our Year 3 and Year 4 children have been busy designing and creating their very own cardboard castles as part of their design technology learning. After exploring the features of medieval castles, such as battlements, drawbridges, moats, keeps and arrow slits, the children used their knowledge to plan, design and build detailed castle models.

Geography field trip, March 2026

As part of our Rivers unit of work, we headed to the beautiful Cotswold Hills to locate the source of the River Isbourne. After discovering where the river begins its journey, the children took on an impressive 8‑mile walk back to school, following sections of the river’s path and observing key geographical features along the way. They showed fantastic resilience, teamwork and curiosity as they explored how a river changes from source to settlement. It was a memorable outdoor learning experience that brought our geography curriculum to life!
