Instruments

Continuing our ‘Who Celebrates’ theme, we have been finding out, and writing about the Diwali story. The children have been practising writing their sentences on the board – assisting Mrs Fisher with handwriting. It really has helped them to think about their letter formation and thinking about their sentences first. As it is Remembrance week, we have also been thinking about ‘people who do important jobs’ as well as sewing poppies on to a long ribbon. Everyone tried very hard – and there were no needle injuries – all bodes well for our ‘Delightful Decorations’, which we will be sewing shortly. When we were at Forest School, we made musical instruments with Mrs Wycherley. Some of the children were slightly disappointed with their ‘quiet’ instruments – but we thought that when we played together, it was much louder and more effective. A lesson we will be repeating – working together to make a difference. The children were slightly saddened not to being their ‘instruments’ home – but, they will, after our Assembly.
