Sir Charlie Stinky Socks

We are beginning to get into our stride now with the routines of the day. Many of the children are really trying hard to show their capabilities.

In English we have begun to enjoy the story ‘Sir Charlie Stinky Socks’ – we will be thinking about how we can write our own versions and enjoy making other versions of the story. In maths we have been making sure we can recognise and count the numbers within 10, 20 and also 50. We have been showing, using the Numicon, how to show our workings out.

In RE we have been thinking about other people and their beliefs – ready to lead into our work on the different Creation stories.  When we go to Forest School on Monday – we will be thinking about all the amazing things we can see that have been created…. but how?!

We spent a little time in the Hall, hearing about the Winchcombe Meteorite – which was amazing! The best bit was ‘watching the fire flashes’ and ‘doing the quiz’. Although several children also said they ‘liked the teddies’!
