Learning the Jewish Creation story was the task for Tuesday, considering the days of the week, and the idea of a Sabbath day – or ‘Shabbat’. The children are finding it a little unusual that there is a distinct lack of activity of the rest day – as compared to some of the activities they accomplish. When we were at Forest School on Monday, we used part of the natural creation – the huge oak tree to inspire acrostic poems for the ‘Poe-tree Tree’. The children were given 3 friends and 5 five minutes to work on their contributions. They then ‘performed’ them to the gathered audience!
