Senses

It was absolutely delightful for us to be able to see you at Parents Evening. Thank you all very much for your positive comments and punctuality. Another busy week has seen us looking for spring flowers, enjoying a number hunt, practising our joined handwriting, and counting backwards and forwards from different starting points in 2s, 5s and 10s. (We have been rehearsing numbers in French too!) We looked at Jewish artefacts with Mr Woolston and thought of questions we would like to have answered. There were some fantastic questions – “are the hats used for a tradition?” – “Why has the golden plate got pictures and words on it – and how do you use it?” In Science we have been finding out about our senses – we looked at ‘sight’, touched on ‘touch’, and sniffed a few smells! We have also been finding out about the biggest and longest organs in our bodies and how some of our insides work. It has been really interesting. (We have also been learning the names of body parts in French!) Mr Major has continued working on throwing and catching and early racquet skills, and has been really pleased with how the children are making progress.
