Owls have had a busy first week back and enjoyed getting started on our new topic, all about the United Kingdom. We enjoyed looking at the World map on the interactive whiteboard and zooming in to find Gretton. Some of us even found our own houses.
In English, this week, we have started a unit on 'Wishing tales' and discovered that it's not always easy to make choices which will please everyone! As part of our 'Talk for Writing' programme the children have been learning the story of Li the fisherman and have been putting actions to the words. This will help us when we come to write our own 'Wishing tales'.
In maths, we have been collecting data and presenting it within different types of graphs and charts. We were amazed to find how many pets are owned by the children at Gretton school!
