Just a reminder that Y2s all have maths homework set each Friday during term time on My Maths, to be completed by the following Friday. Please use your individual log ins which were sent out in the Autumn term, as homework is then sent automatically to Mrs Fisher. Both Y2s and Y1s are very welcome to use the wide variety of activities on My Maths just for fun - there is no need to use individual log ins for this, simply use the school username 'grettonps' and the password 'angular'. Children will be able to show you some of the games they use on the laptops in school and find lots of others too.
Spellings are now going to be sent home each Monday, to be tested the following Monday when Mrs Roles is in school. (Due to the bank holiday on Monday 5th May, spellings will be given out and tested on Tuesday 6th May that week, however!)
If you are keen for your child to do more writing at home, then why not ask them to keep a Nature Diary whilst we are doing our topic on British Wildlife? They can draw and write about any wild animals and plants they see, either in their gardens or further afield. We would love to see any diaries the children produce and share them with the class. The RSPB and Woodland Trust also both have excellent websites, with lots of information about animals and plants and suggestions for fun educational activities you can do with your child.
