As we approached our destination, the faces of 26 excited children (and three excited adults!) peered from the coach windows. Cadbury World! It was a day filled with interesting history, from the Aztecs who invented a spicy chocolate drink called chocolatl, to the Victorians who really invented the sort of chocolate we eat today. We learned so many facts about history - Mrs Meller would be very proud of us. We also had time to play in a park, and went on a ride that was like a world filled with tiny cute cocoa beans.
It was also interesting to find out about how the factory is deep cleaned after making chocolate bars with nuts in. It is really important to clean everything so that people with nut allergies can eat chocolate safely. We watched some men taking apart all the equipment to clean it - even the bits that covered the air conditioning!
