Eagles spent some time in Cheltenham today. We visited the Synagogue and learnt all about Jewish worship and the history of the building itself. We were shown some of the ritual objects that are to be found in a Synagogue, and talked about why they are there and how they are used. It was really interesting to hear all about the roles of males and females in the Synagogue. The girls and boys in our class had to enter through separate doors and sit on different sides of the room.
After our trip to the Synagogue we headed over to Regents Arcade. We took part in various data handling activities including a shop survey and shop window display investigation. We will discuss and record our results in our maths lessons this week. Some groups also had a go at sketching the wishing clock and designing a sculpture for the refurbished shopping centre.
